Catholics have the opportunity to receive the Eucharist daily at St. Patrick Church. All Catholics are required to attend Mass on Sunday and on Holy Days of Obligation.

Second grade students enrolled in the Youth Faith Formation program prepare for the celebration of First Holy Communion during the second semester. Parents and students take a very active part in the preparation of this sacrament. All requirements are explained at a parent meeting. Third grade through high school students who have not received any sacraments beyond Baptism may be required to prepare for First Communion separately in addition to their attendance at Youth Faith Formation (YFF) classes in their respective grade levels.

Adults learn about participating in the sacrament of First Holy Communion while preparing for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA).
